Funnel Trap

Trap for pheromone placement.

Target

The FUNNEL TRAP trap is used to control large adult lepidoptera and its placement depends on the biological cycle of the insect.

How does it work

The FUNNEL TRAP trap consists of a cover (umbrella), a funnel and a bucket. On the umbrella there is a central receptor where the pheromone is placed.

Insects attracted by the FUNNEL TRAP trap fly around the central pheromone receptor until they are depleted and then fall into the trap (bucket).

Insects are impossible to fly out of the bucket.

They are killed by using a solution of soapy water inside the bucket or a sticky substance at the bottom of the bucket.
