SERENADE ASO® is a preparation based on the strain of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (former subtilis) QST 713, in the form of a concentrated suspension for the control of fungal and bacterial infestations in a wide range of outdoor and greenhouse applications / in the case of plants or .

The strain of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens QST 713 protects the plant from diseases by preventing the attachment and penetration of pathogens into the foliage where the preparation has been applied. Also the growth of pathogens stops because Bacillus amyloliquefaciens QST 713 acts in competition with them. In addition, the strain of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens QST 713 mainly produces lipopeptides which act synergistically with each other, perforate the cell membranes of pathogens and destroy stem cells and mycelium. In this way they stop the infestation and the spread of the disease. In addition, the strain of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens QST 713 induces systemic resistance of plants (increased peroxidase activity) against fungal and bacterial infections.
